Terms
Equal Pay Auditor reads the pay data you paste and screens it for categories of workers doing the same work who are paid differently. It is a screen: not legal advice, not an official audit, not a job evaluation, and not a ruling on your compliance or on any worker's claim. An assessment under the directive is the employer's work with its worker representatives; a tribunal decides a claim.
What this is
Equal Pay Auditor reads job titles and pay figures you paste, screens exact title matches for pay differences, computes the gender gap figures in the wording the reporting items use, marks the categories at or above the 5 percent difference, and maps each next step to the article of Directive (EU) 2023/970 that asks for it. It flags potential parity issues. It does not certify compliance.
What it is not
The screen matches exact title text, level words included. Whether different titles carry work of equal value is decided on the four criteria of Article 4(4), through a job evaluation the employer runs; the screen marks the questions and never answers them. Where the paste lacks a column (gender, FTE, variable pay), the figure is marked not produceable, never guessed. No output here is a certification: a tribunal, a monitoring body or the equality body decides what the law required. Member state law may add duties, and the directive sets minimums; this tool reads the directive, not the national law.
Your data and your account
You keep your data. The paste is read in your browser; it is stored only if you save an audit, scoped to your account, and you can delete it at any time from your account page. You are responsible for having the right to paste the data you paste, and for deleting personal identifiers (names, employee numbers, email addresses) before you save: the screen names any identifier column it sees and tells you they are not needed.
Payment and refunds
The audit file is USD 39 a month, and saves pastes of up to 150 rows for one legal entity. The programme is USD 349 a year, and saves pastes of 151 to 1,000 rows. The FREE SCREEN takes any paste size and runs the full figures on screen, with nothing saved. Prices in US dollars, VAT or GST added where it applies. Refunds on request within 30 days.
Subscriptions and renewal
Both paid plans are subscriptions and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from Stripe; cancelling stops the next renewal and the plan runs to the end of the paid period. Refunds on request within 30 days.
The requirement text
Every requirement shown is The Art of Service's statement of a clause of Directive (EU) 2023/970 or, in the Australian tier, of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), read against the copy we hold and cited to its article, not the instrument verbatim. Where a text is not held in full the page names it and does not state it.
Governing law and liability
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have exclusive jurisdiction. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, condition or warranty that the Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), Schedule 2) does not allow us to exclude, restrict or modify, and where our liability for a failure to comply with such a guarantee can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of resupply.
Data processing
Equal Pay Auditor is a pay-data screen; it is not a data controller of anything you do with the result. Pay data you paste is processed in your browser under your control, and this tool never sends it anywhere unless you save. Directive (EU) 2023/970 itself says pay data processed under its Articles 7, 9 and 10 is used for the application of the principle of equal pay and nothing else (Art 12); the same discipline holds here. If your procurement review needs a data-processing addendum, our four processors are named on the privacy page (Cloudflare for serving, Supabase in Sydney for saved work, Stripe for payment, SendGrid for sign-in and receipt mail), and we will sign an addendum on request.
